Dropped Lifter

This is most likely a dumb question, but while doing the lifters I dropped one down the large hole at the back of the cylinder head on a 2.4, does that go into the oil pan?

Its not a dumb question, its ab important one. If the whole is about the size of a dime, yes. That is the drain back into the oil pan. Hope you find it
