interesting little mod!!

i went to the N/A DSM website then under the mods section there is the instructions to cut your stock air canister and to remove the intake silencer(didnt know there was one!!) but i took the MAF from the can lid and removed the paper silencer w/useless metal holder and wow the car really revs more freely, (sorry no HP here) but does sound a little better too!! just thought id share!! note: this is for the non turbo!!!

also as another side note YES i know/knew of the canister cutting modification and about taking the plastics pieces from around the stock air can!!! I just didnt know of the little silencer thingy, if you do attempt his PLEASE becareful with your MAF they arent cheap!!(you will have to completely remove it from the lid) and are delicate!!!!

this is one of the many free mods people do to turbocharged 4g63t's others include removing the upper honeycombs from the mas and taking the plastic restrictor screw out and hacking your air can, this is for the turbo cars only, these free mods are easily obtained on any dsm website such as dsmtuners.com there are lots of them
