I just recently bought a 1990 Galant GSX DOHC AWD 5speed
And I'm finding this is a rare car and so are the parts. After some research I found that 1g T/E/L GSX (Talon, Eclipse, Laser) are compatible as far as engine and drive train.

Can anybody add or take away from that?

So is the only difference from this and a vr4 the turbo motor?

Differences are the VR4 has All Wheel Steering and a lower compression bottom end because of the turbo at 7.8:1 compression. The non turbo 4G63 has 9.0:1 compression but it's 135hp vs 210 for the vr4. You can use 1g and some 2g items in your car but not as many as you would like. There are no intakes for it, you can only use cat backs but if you know the VR4 world at all you know those are long gone and all custom. So basically is is super rare and awesome in the snow. Those years aren't really mod friendly unless you drop in a turbo motor and ECU.

That's what I was talking about when I said they had differ motors. But I didn't know the vr4 had all wheel steering.

Currently I Have different wheels on it. I did a 4 to 5 lug conversion(hub assembly from a talon tsi, brake set up from a VR-4, old rusty rotors from my 8g galant on there temporarily till imy drilled n slotted rotors come in)
