Hey guys Im new here and new to mitsubishi. Name is Angel.

well Alittle background.... never intended to choose/build a galant. Im a mechanic so i always knew they were reliable and easy to work on. so my cousin bought his brand new of the lot on 02(still has). and it began..... we rice it out Fast and furious mods.... then we turbo'ed.... then 5spd. so thts when it caught my eye. notice no one around here (central florida) has one clean and fast. so after a couple yrs and cars. i was on a hunt. I LIKE TO BE DIFFERENT AND STAND OUT. since my cousin gave up on his and tryed to push him to build it and clean it up. try to buy it but been his first car and close to his heart didnt gave it up. so i came across GOBLIN. I gotta tell u is has been the best 1,000 i had ever spend. :duh: :044:

Enough bla bla bla.... next day at home

decent exterior.(cheap maaco job)
nasty ass interior.(has been pressure washed/clean)

Car is looking good. I think that lip sets it off nicely. I plan on getting one eventually. Personally, I think there is too much difference in color between your heads and fogs. If your going with yellow fogs then I think a white hid would have looked better in the heads. Just my thought. That's were I'm going with mine.

I remember when you posted those fogs a while back, still diggin them and as well as those wheels. If you got the money to spare, I'd say go for it unless you have your eyes on something else. They suit the G nicely imo.

As far as the fogs and hid color diff..to be honest imo, any kelvin lower than 6000k makes yellow fogs stand out too much. I also feel like white cars and black cars pull it off best. I currently have yellow fog bulbs w/ clear housings, but have had painted yellow housings too. I've also tried diff hid bulbs all in the range of 4300k to 10,000k. While 4300 had more usable light, I'd sacrifice that for at least 6000k just so the headlights don't look plain in comparison to the fogs.

I know that contradicts more recent posts were I say I wanna try 4300 or 5000k hids again (currently run 6000k), but the thing is I have another set of led fog bulbs laying around that would match if I made that switch.

Just something to think on I guess, I know everyone has diff taste in mods which I respect.

Excited to see someone working on a Green G... most people here really don't like the color but I think it has a lot of potential especially if you just give it some personality...and with a Name like Goblin I think you are definitely doing that! My only thing I would say is color match the lip...I absolutely hate off colored lips but that's just me...welcome, looking forward to your build

Put the big diesel turbo on it, go fast like Ricky Bobby lol!

Seriously, car is coming along nicely, though I'd try to get leather seats or Katskins or replace the current ones or something, because the interior is beat to death.

Great progress so far.

my advice to u is to ditch the evo manifold and go with a dsm manifold. i dislike the look of the evo manifold with 2 half inch spacers. i think its such a half ass way to do it. thats just my opinion. u r off to a great start with those parts though.

good job on the body work too. came out great

I used a dsm manifold. A quality one not an eBay cheap metal one. Got it modified to fit and still didn't cost me a lot and I am happy with it. A custom manifold is somewhere in the $700-$1000 range. I was gonna go that route until I came across this cheap tubular one that my friend was selling.

i told him that. he is a "budget build" but i agree with u 100% will look cleaner and better performance. but i will try to convince him once i have it mounted and dont fit. and will tell him flanges are 50ea. better off buy a after market one.
can u tell a specific year.... or any 2g will work?

thanks

sure be functional, but out of budget for him. he want a stock evo performance build. for daily driven.

This is an eBay cast manifold made for the 4g64. It's not the best quality on earth but definitely not a bad start for a budget. I got it because I was on a budget initially and u ran it for over a year with no issues. It's about $130 I believe. But any 2g manifold will work too. Find someone selling a decent manifold for cheap and get that or get the one in my pic. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05/06/832142f1843b61bc9ce4a4a507ded66f.jpg

I thought the turbo stuff was for your car and not his.

Is a 98-01 integra mugen front lip
Urathaene.

It just trimming and time consuming. Not hard. I did not cut it i did not extended. U trim the middle of lip where inserts on grill area and everything with fit. Then trim/cut excessive on the side by tire/bumper.

Let me know is u need more details will be happy to help.

Excellent. I have an engine to put in soon. And I rather have it assembled to the transmission from underneath. Engine came out alone with an engine hoist and then the transmission from underneath. I no longer have the engine hoist and was willing to try feom under the car with the trans and engine fitted already.

Would you fix the car on stands and lift the engine assembly to the car or set the engine assembly down and lower the chasis to it?

To lower engine i do it with jack.

to install i place wood under crank and under trans. And lower chassis to engine and bolt it and raise all together.

U right wont be low enough. Well i put swap directly underneath. Place some wood to make it higher. Then tht nose kisses the ground. Lol

We dont know. We took the head from junk yard A u pull u pay. And pick this one cuz i was rebuilt and when removed valve cover was super clean and could tell is was in a machined shop. But i guess look could be deceiving.... (im sure i miss spelled).

So should we get send out and replace valve guides or just go get another one. we can go to yard and i can pull another one for 60 bucks. :) i still have all new parts to change. Plus old head have new valves.

You could just ask us here about the cam gears.

No you can't use stock cam gears. The tooth count is different so lining up the stock cam gears properly won't work. U need adjustable. U can probably get away with just one adjustable cam gear but I'd just do a set.

On tht subject i went ahead and started to use the one i had for my built. Took it apart and is great shape so i be using tht one.

Engine harness is completly wired. Waiting on a battery to finish running my power and grounds. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160508/7fd7d5382de21d407bb6928cb175bdcb.jpg

So we ditch the evo turbo setup. My fault. I was grinding the housing and turn the grinder and cracked the housing. So we went with a super 60 replica made by CX racing. If u are looking for a cheap turbo or budget setup(which i really hope u dont) they are the only one i will do with. I have installed and used their turbos before and they seriously good and strong. Of course for simple setups. Anyways here what looks like.

Looks good but a tight fit, remember though turbo oil return dont like tight radius so keep that in mind.

That turbo drain plug welded to the oil pan is in a hard to reach spot. Why didn't u weld it where the evo has their drain plug??

The car was turbo back in the days. Person tht originally made car turbo put it there. I was thinking the same. But wanted to finish downpipe first and see. But i think u guys are right and may have to redo with new oil pan.

Downpipe done. (Hanger is till it makes it to muffler shop). Return line done.(heat wrapped inside with a heat blanket). Re did return line, and took xd_01 advice and straighten and incline line so no kincks and no tight corners so oil dont sit. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160608/4ccdf373c0e307cb62d6c499c47e9652.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160608/811f9c1d275103357b97fed1dfa915a5.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160608/855880140fea262a629ad983fca0f123.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160608/15de28de03f61708c38f0d6a22715076.jpg
