Need to turn off Auto Subscribe

Every time I post in a thread, I am auto-subscribed to that thread, how do I turn that annoying feature off? I've checked my User Control Panel but couldn't find how to un-do auto-subscribe.

You have to go to the thread, and then at the top of the thread, under thread tools, unsubscribe

^ I know, I've already done that, but every time I post in a thread, I'm auto-subscribed, it's annoying to unsubscribe to each thread I post in, I'd rather turn auto-subscribe off so I don't have to unsubscribe every time, trying to be proactive

Go to User Control Panel → Edit Options → Default Thread Subscription Mode → Change to: Do not subscribe
