Ohhhh... don't use that mesh!! Get some of the mesh from a home improvement store(maybe where you got that), that is not real wide, but it is just the right width to fit the grill. Look at the grill in my sig. These strips of gutter mesh shoulf be ready to fit on a gutter. It will look much better with this kind of mesh IMO. You still will have to do some cutting.

Lookin good other wise.

I think the black mesh would look good. It would look more like a JDM grill that way.

how do you take the grill off?

i used a saws blade and just cut it with that... but for the black plastic on the last two chrome lines or w.e on each end, i used a drill and drilled various holes which helped it lose power and i just chipped it off from there.... and just cut it down and painted it again ill post pics when i get back home of how it came out lookin!!!

here's a lil tip to make ur grille make a lil bit better. shouldn't cost u more than 10 dollars. get a hold of some chrome tape or chrome vinyl. chrome tape is available at the auto parts store. and yea cover up where u cut the bars off with the chrome tape. it doesn't look as good as if hte grille was really chromed but u only see a lil line from the tape.

id paint it black and get some darker mesh to go with it, that would look tight!

WHat did you use to Cut? I am considering the Dremel but i am open to other methods.

The bars on the grill are so easy to cut, I used the saw tooth on a swiss army knife, took me about twenty minutes. Sanding the thing was the hardest part.

well, i didnt get a chance to do anything last week, so im still doing the bondo thing and sanding. its pretty easy with the dremel sander. i think you should invest in one! the only thing is i got to do it with a fan or something cause the shit starts flying around my nasal cavities and i got these huge bondo boogers!!! :conehead: . or maybe i can get a mask or something. it can help prevent SARS too! i wonder if Bondo is deadly when you inhale it?

anyway, probably next weekend i should be done.

I still can't believe that. It took me forever to cut mine out. That plastic was so friggin' tough.

vegasmatt, what kinda grille did u ahve? did u have an oem grille from mitsu or an aftermarket oem style grille from who knows where? the materials might be different from oem.

but yea i have a saw tooth on my gerber multipliers and yea it can cut thru glass so plastic shouldn't be a problem.
