7g-tire size for 17" rimz

I just wanted to hear suggestions on whats the biggest tire size I can get with out any problems. Do you think 50 series tires would work coz I need to find a way to raise my car a little coz my headers keep bottoming out. Thankz !!! Maybee 215/50/17 if they even make that size. :?:
