I just cleaned the throttle body on my '99 GTZ, and now she's idling strange. She's revving up and down between just under 1000 RPM and just over 1000 RPM. I remember reading something about adjusting the idle after cleaning the TB, but I don't remember where I read it. Can anyone help? Also, how hard is it to change the AT fluid on my car? I don't want to pay $70 to have it done, if I can do it myself. (As you can tell, I don't have whole lot of mechanical experience)

You can adjust the TB cable but not that actual TB. Your going to want to take it in. It needs to be adjusted by a computer or something like that.

You have a leak of some sort somewhere. Do not adjust the idle.

I have the same damn problem. Unstable Idle.

It only happens when the engine is cold but when the engine is warmed up, the idle problems go away.

Someone mentioned a defective thermostat but I haven't had time to check it.
