Heat won't blow hot air.

Hello guys i have a 2005 galant LS v6 and i never noticed this since i live in fl but my heat won't blow heat. Only the a/c works. I'm going to new york for a month in this car and i need the heat. I wrench but total noob with cooling systems. Any body can help me?
