another auto trans problem

my transmission wont go straight into D it will always go into neutral for 2 seconds before engaging
it never used to do this, it only started a month or two ago
anybody got any ideas as to wats goin on?

I suggest you check the tranny fluid level. Too much or too little can both cause problems. Also if you haven't changed your tranny fluid in 30k, it's time to change it and also the filter if it's servicable.
