Would 18x8.5 rims with a 35 offset give me any problems with rubbing? Also, how would the off set look on a 8g. Would they stick out to far or in to far

So far I haven't had any problems with mine, But I also have not dropped my car yet. I have 18 X 8.5 with a 42 offset. My wheels are flush with the body of the car. They are not sticking out from the car or tucked up under it either. I can't remember whether or not the wheel sticks out farther when the offset is higher or lower.

the higher the offset the more tucked in it will be. i think at 18x8.5 is too big already cause galant cant take more then 8 wide with out rubbing somewhere. so 8 is the max.. now you have a 35 offset the galant specs are 46+ so you will alreayd be sticking out 11mm on top of the 8.5 if you drop the car you will defenetly rub

18x8.5 have worked for many on here, but not with a +35mm offset. The wheel will stick out too far. Try to stay as close to +46mm as possible. I honestly wouldn't go any lower than +42mm. I believe there is a member with 18x8.5's and a +38 offset. He was rubbing and had to roll the rear fenders, so it's possible that with a +35mm offset, that rolling the fenders won't even help.

I have to agree with you guyz, a +35 offset is just to wide, you will rub no matter what.. As soon as you drop the car and hit any kind of bump you will rub, and rub pretty bad..
