i have heard of people swaping there l4 motors with the evo motor and in not sure what motor they are talking about if it''s the evo 8 motor that's for over 270hp or if it's the one that had 171 hp? either way how much is the swap and are the gains worth it?

Er there are many posts about it but I can't recall which Evo motor they used offhand...maybe it was the Evo 5 or Evo 4 or 6 or...you get the idea. As for gains...you're gaining over 100 hp so I'd think it was worth it, but you're also spending quite a bit for swapping labor plus the motor.

ITs Clay he is swapping in the EVO 4 motor, and i think with the abudant power gains, its well worth the time, since he is doing it himself.

ok i was going to beef up the stock motor with internals and such but if i can start with a base of an extra 100hp and work form there then i would be great. i wish i had more info on this.
