What is the stock HP on a V6?

The answer...it varies! 00GTZ00 dynoed at 152 I think? It was in the 150s that's all I know for sure, and his car is Fed spec. I dynoed under same conditions for good for about 138, I had a Cali spec. Our torque numbers are about the same (158 vs 155 I think) so that's what made a lightbulb go off in my head that maybe Mitsubishi had been lying about their horsepower numbers (and why we see inconsistent track results). I've seen 142 whp for another Cali spec dyno I paid for but it wasn't my car. This is a 10 whp difference at the wheels between a Fed and Cali spec if the dynos are correct...a tad different than the 195 vs 190 advertised wouldn't you say (and the 195 vs 195 for the newer brochures)?

I ran a baseline starting point on my galant (cali spec) today before my install of the blower and headers.

The only mod I had on it was the CAI, I took out my rising rate fpr and of course this is with new plugs and nology wires new piping and exhaust, and no nitrous.

I ran a 158hp to the wheels with 165lbs of torque.

This was in 80 degree weather.

Sounds about right...I was at 157 whp and 170 ft lbs of torque with intake and exhaust.

ES comes with a 4 banger stock, doesn't have all the fancy options of a GTZ, and different suspension tuning.

Hey Kev,

I'll keep you informed once I get the blower/headers on, we will see what kind of damage we can do. Should be done by Friday afternoon and once its complete my guys are going to run it on the dyno so we can see what kind of juice we can kick out of it.

I want to throw down more HP than Ed he was at 259hp. I should be able to pass that because the RPW headers seem to create more hp with the sds system.

stock 4 banga..ranges between 98 to 104 whp bone stock Average is about 102 with 109 lb/tor

my bone stock galant did a 103 hp at the wheels and 111ft. lbs of torque @ 79 degrees.

I checked up on the Galant today my install is going smooth minus the problems with the peice of shit RPW headers not fitting correctly.

We got past that problem and are now full on moving forward with the install. The directions are a little shady that Ripp has but we are workin thru it. I wont get the car back until this next Wed. because of the holiday, I could have got it on Sat. but I want them to take their time getting it done.

I'll keep you guys posted on the final numbers when I dyno it on Tues. or Wed.
