This is what I got from the guys selling the stiffening kit concerning the rear lower tie rod....Well, I think he's talking about the lower tie rod, cuz I asked him about it...and his explanation makes sense.

If this is true, then we shouldn't need to buy it.

Forgot to answer your question about the other brace
you are thinking about. Since I believe I know what
bar you are talking about I will say taht you need to
really look at what thay brace is trying to
accomplish. The bar you are talking about is connected
to (2) fixed points on the same part. Meaning it is
only bolting to itself. Basically it does not work.
Now this is only true, granted we are talking about
the same bar. The one we are talking about is the one
that you commonly see on Honda Civic underneath their
cars when you are behind them. Those are just for show
and have increase in performance. Pleae let us know if
this is the bar that you are talking about.
Thank you,

I have the tie rod bar and it does bolt up to 2 bolts and looks like it may be just for show but if you ask anyone with the Bar they will tell you that you will notice a big difference in teh handling. If you look at DANJ's pics of the stiff kit you'll see where the Tie rod bar goes

I already stated this in my post of the email I received from Road Race Engineering. That's the reason why they don't sell lower tie bars for the 3G. They can get them if you really want them, but they don't list anything for sale that they don't feel improves anything. I have gotten the same response from D3 and 2 local performance shops, Carboy Racing and Strickley Performance.
