If I do decided to put a turbo or something in my 8G, will I have to declare this to the insurance? And if so, will they shoot up my premiums? I know forced induction does void certain warranty's. My car has like 48k miles, so I dont think I have a man. warranty anymore anyway.

Thanks

Good question, but as soon as I got in a car crash and they find that I have something that I wasnt supposed to have, they can invalididate the contract immedialty (the one I signed with them). And they wont have to cover shit, or even still be my insurance company.

Thats why Im wondering if they care about forced induction. I have Liberty Mutual. Probably a good idea for me to ask them, but that will take way to long.

I have never heard of a situation like that but then again I've never used or even heard of liberty mutual. For most with illegal items ***knock on wood*** when they wrecked they just removed some of the items. For real just pray that your accident isnt caused by your doing and youwill be fine...should

When i wrecked my car, they asked me about my Nitrous. I said its for looks and as a matter of fact the bottle is empty. They said that is fine, but if I were to make street racing a habit, I would have to notify them so they can adjust my rates.

ok Insurance violators....lol...check with your insurance first to see if they have an aftermarket endorsement clause I know Progressive has one and for a little extra loot and some receipts they wll cover anything aftermarket on your car that is damaged in an accident. that doesn't include blowing the motor but if your in an accident they will replace it. instead of paying for you to go back to stock.

You are correct. If you were in an accident and you have 'modified' the performance of your car AFTER you signed your contract, you would not be covered (if discovered). Same same but different senario -- If you start smoking or smoke cigarettes and you didn't or don't tell your life insurance company and you die from lung cancer, because of the smoking, and you initially signed the contract and said you didn't smoke, then they won't cover the claim. If you do smoke, you have to be straight up with them and they would adjust your plan accordingly.

$105 a month for both my Galant (full coverage - $500 deductible) and '91 Sentra (liability only). I've been licensed for almost 17 years. Clean record. 1 out of state warrant.

I pay $206 a month for full coverage and aftermarket accessory coverage! I love State Farm, i had Progressive on my first ride which was a 95 Nissan Altima GLE i hated there customer service but i guess thats what you get to pay a little less!! I have been with State Farm now for 5 yrs now and i havent had any complaints,I love there customer service and they know everything about what i do to my car cause i drop my payment off in person every month. My agent even likes the G-ride he always wants to know what else i have done to it!! I cant wait til next month on my B-day my payment will go down even more (getting close to the big 25)

I'd like to know where you are getting the turbo. I was thinking about going that route...where and how much money...if you don't mind me asking?

Nope. It's still sitting in my driveway. I just need to get new struts, power steering fixed, brakes and get the headers taken off and the stock manifold put back on and then she's jake. And a battery. I'm thinking about giving it to my neice as a wedding present. I'd rather give it to a family member than to sell it for the same price as the parts I'm about to put in it. I might get a 90's 300ZX as a beater car later but I'm feeling the need to get another motorcycle first.

I found out the hard way. We tried to claim insurance on the Galant when it had its nitrous boo-boo, and not only did they reject the claim they raised our rates. Even after the nitrous had been removed the rates won't come back down. Never go through insurance unless you have a total loss is my philosophy...they'll dick you any way they can.

Kemper, paying around $130 a month with full coverage and a $500 deductable. Only aftermarket thing in my car is the stereo. I've got one ticket left on my record (took driving school for the other one).
