What's the purpose to run a big gauge wire from alternator to battery?

the altenator keeps the entire electrical system charged, so there obviously needs to be some type of electrical connection between the alternator and battery.

so it's better for me to run another wire from alternator to battery? it can improve my electrical system?

no, it wont improve a thing.
i though you were asking why there is one there from the factory.
adding anything to it is totally pointless.
