peeps,

my bro was cleaning the 3 front plugs of my V6 whan after cleaning it with DIESEL fuel and putting the front plugs the car wont start not even a whimper. I got no sound coming from anywhere but the battery was strong.

Did the diesel affect the plugs or my starter is busted?

What are the symptoms of a bad starter? is there a fuse that might have been damaged? Thanks

Would the engine still crank if the spark plugs were not connected to the spark cables? Coz we are suspecting that one cable maybe damaged . Thanks

Why did he use Diesel to clean the plugs ?
did he dry them off before puting them back in
If not take the plugs out and clean them again
Not with diesel use petrol or plug cleaner
Check all HT leads are connected and in the right order
Check the battery is connected

All of the above has been checked and are all good https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif But still not even a crank only a very faint click.

Just a click..... it sounds like the start motor
Try giving it a few taps with a hammer or rocking the car back and forth in gear

Ok I will do that. Is there any way to directly tap the current of the battery to the starter motor? Thanks a lot.

I have never done it but I have heard that a jump lead from battery to Startmotor can work ???

When I was havin probs startin my car, it was a bad ground wire combined with a dead batter....but I wanted to jump the starter directly cause I thought that was the prob....everyone told me dont do it.

1 bad ground wire reaked havock oddest problems, all went away when I connected a jumper cable from negative batter post to the engine hanger...somethin to think about maybe?

Dont u love when u get 200 different answers to a problem lol
