Keyless Entry Remote

Hello all

I have a 2002 Galant ES. I lost my remote for the keyless entry. Anyone have any information about how to get a replacement remote. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

you didn't get a spare? dealer gave me when I bought my car....anyhow, you could buy one on Ebay or something, then have the dealer reprogram it....or just go to the dealer and get a new one...either way you have to go to the dealer.

I called the local Mitsubishi dealer and they say that it is a $100 to get a new one. I found a couple on E-bay for less than $10. How do I know if it will work on my car? Or are there any other options? Please help

they have to be reprogram, in order for them to work with your car

I ordered one off of ebay for my 01 Galant ES. Cost something like $5 on ebay and then the dealership charged me $40 to program it.

I have 01 Galant and I programmed it myself using the tutorial found on this forum

another thing you might want to look at is the aftermarket. i still have all the remotes for my 2k but i rarely use them. when i first purchased the car, the first thing i got installed was an alarm. and yea the base system for my alarm costed about 300 dollars installed. but not only included the alarm but keyless entry so that when the alarm was armed, the doors would lock and when you disarm it, the doors would unlock. something you might wanna think of if you plan on getting an alarm.
