blinker lights

i am tryting to put the blinker arrows on my mirrors and i was told to match black to black and ground the white. i did that, nothing happened, so i switched em black to white and grounded the black. still nothing happened.i thinnk i am tapping into the wrong wire though because if i need to splice into the blinker wire then my blinkers wouldnt have worked when i cut the wire, but they did. my question is which wire do i send to which wire. do i have 2 more wires going to my blinker, blue and green. which wire do i ground and with the other wire which wire do i splice into blue or green?

Where did u get the blinker for the mirror?
How much was it and is it easy to install?

I just think u are not splicing the wire right make sure they touch.

they were all spliced and touching. i got off ebay for like 30 dollars

your 1157 has two filiment and 3 wires going to it. ground, the parking light and the blinker. make sure that you're tapping into the blinker and not the parking light.
