I found oil in my distributo cap. I decided to replace the cap since it only cost $20, but I did not see any cracks in it. I am worried that a new cap will not fix the problem of oil getting inside. Any idea what I need to replace if the new cap does not work? Thanks for anyone's advice!
Is there any oil found on the outside of the distributor cap?

It was hard to tell. There might've been some, but not much. It was mostly inside it - about 1 1/2 tablespoons of oil.
Thats kinda odd, the shaft that is driven by the cam, which spinds the rotor is wedged into a sealed bearing, thats the only place I could think oil can get in from, but i think its physically impossible, unless theres some gouge in the shaft or bearing housing?
