The intake systems still need to be modified to fit? They have a lot for sell.

ALL of them are just an adapter and a cone filter. The WeaponR has a little tubing at the elbow but not worth $200 IMO..

ok, I have zero engine mods to my 97 es. Does the intake tutorial really only cost $40 and is that a good place to start :?:
...or should I get an adapter and cone filter :?:

Well...you will still need to buy the Mas adapter with the CAI kit.

Also you have to go to home depot to buy 2 3"> 4" PVC adapters in the plumbing section..i think they are like $8 each

and if you want to change the color of the regular reducers that come with the kit..from importstudio.com....then they are $6 each but thats optional.

So it comes out to be a little bit more....
CAI= $40
PVCs= $16
MAS adapter= $20

IMO...its worth it...i had the short ram and i am happier with the CAI

what is the piece that is behind the black box that connects to the first pvc adapter? Did that come with kit or did you get it from some where else?

ok when we say CAI kit, is this something that we are buying or something that when we put all the parts together we are calling it a kit?

I know that I need the mas adapter and I see the pvc in the pictures but the polished piping, where do you get that and then the filter, which one should you use and how much is that? I know it is probably way simpler that what I am making it but I just want to know everything before I go tearing things out of my car.

I am talking about the polished piping with the light blue fitting on it at the right of the pic. What is it? Where can I get it?

That's part of the "kit". You get all the polished tubing with the GSR intake and the blue thing is a reducer that you can buy seperately in any color you choose.

where do you get the GSR intake that it only cost $40? :puzzled1:

and once you get the GSR intake, you can find everything else for the most part at the local Home Depot?

Like I said, I'm a rookie. :roll:

The clock is running down on that auction, someone better jump on it!

Then go here www.importstudio.com and get some reducers :thumbsup:

hey if I order one of the gazillion CAI intakes out there for the GSR, I should get with it the shorter polished pipe that goes from the throttle body to the mas, plus the longer polished pipe that goes from the mas to the filter? Is that right? Plus the reducers and anything else. Right?

I ask because in my search for a GSR intake, most of the pictures only show one pipe and then the filter.

with my limited car jedi skills I just want to make sure I would have everything I possibly need before I start this project.
