Question the 95-99 eclipse will or will not work on our 95 galant and the same thing with 2002 eclipse will or will not work? Because the 95-99 eclipse hyper flex has a whole suspension kit for about 150 and the 2002 eclipse only sells control arm kits seperate not together. which will work for a 95 galant I am buying it next thursday so I need some help before I order . Thanks for all the help I would realy be interested in meeting alot of you guys who have helped me out in the past year.

The 95-99 will work the 2002 will not work. If you buy that Energy Suspension kit it is likely that 70-80% of the parts will fit on the 7g. This is mostly due to the slight difference in the front control arm and strut position on the Eclipse as opposed to the Galant. The back should be all good.

Let us know how it turns out Signet, I might have to order a set soon..

I bet any FWD 2g bushings will fit.

I bought the 2g FWD eclipse Energy Suspension kit for my 95 galant. They are not installed yet but it looks like most of them will work. I bought the kit to replace my failing rear upper control arm bushings, and I am 90% sure that they will work. Can't say for sure because I didn't put them in yet.

From what I have read, on this forum and GalantSpeed.....

the energy suspension bushings are a PITA!!!

You have to torch out the old bushings and use a press to put the new bushings in. I think Prothane makes some bushings that are a bit stiffer than the Energy Suspension bushings, but they are "Inserts"....so no need for a press, one goes in one side, and one goes on the other, they slide together, and put them back together...Which are probably what i'm going to get, when I get around to doing this. I don't have a press, so I don't know how I would get the Energy Suspension bushings in.....and damn...I don't have a torch to get the old bushings out...so.....I don't know, but I will make it work damnit!

Prothane and Energy Suspension, both have kits for the 2G!

Um the torch/press are to press out the STOCK bushings.

Its much easier to get new ones IN. No need for a press when you got a small sledge =D

hello... just a reply to these posts...

if anyone has done and replaced theirs... have they got pictures of it being done? so at least other G owners would have an idea on how to do it, if they were abit short of cash....

thanks

I remember looking for Prothane bushings a while back right on here I did not have any luck however I did find these bushings on J.C Whitney
http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Product...modelId-1001552 ('http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/ProductDisplay/s-10101/makeId-1000133/p-2127/c-10101/modelId-1001552')
But I never got to try them to see if thay really work.

I search there site www.jcwhitney.com by make and model and I came up with those above.

Select Make > Mitsubishi > Galant > Suspension, Shocks & Steering > Bushings

sorry for late reply... i got the outer rear control arm bushings for my 7g jdm... i didn't need to torch or press the oem out... we just grinded the bloody thing with a air grinder... and it took about 1 less hour to finish it...
i got the bushes from

http://www.fulcrumsuspensions.com.au/super..._catalogue.html ('http://www.fulcrumsuspensions.com.au/superpro_catalogue.html')

might fit into usdm as well... and hell it would be alot more cheaper...

i'm actually gonna order my front bushing next pay so i can fix up the whole stuff....
