Ok. So I'm getting an AC Autotechnic muffler. First off, the stock muffler looks like it's 2 feet long. The muffler I'm buying is 1 foot long... So I'm assuming there's going to be extra piping necessary for a good fit... how much does that usually run? Is that in the installation costs? Also, does that usually come with the adapter from a 2.25 to 2.5 inch piping?

The muffler installation company (Maxi Muffler here in Jacksonville) seems reputable enough...

Just trying to get some feedback and shake off some worries. Please respond! https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif

first of all, the size of the intake doesn't have anything to do with the muffler size. but yea i think ur talking instead about the stock muffler. yea the aftermarket muffler will most likely be a difference size than the stock one. the stock one is pretty big. any reputable exhaust shop should be able to tackle the install. add the necessary piping and get things to fit right, even with the difference between the pipe and inlet size. as for price, that will vary from where u go. i say average 60 dollars. more or less depending on where you live and where you go to.

Hmmm... okay. As long as I'll be able to put the old one back on...

Thanks PinoyESV6... you've yet to let me down. :-) Much appreciation! https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif

I'm in the New Orleans area and just had a new muffler put on my ride last night...it ran me $40 and he had to add some extra pipe. Took him about 30 minutes to do.

Hope that helps. https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif

Yeah... I now have a window of 40-60 bucks installation... Depending and who does it and where it's done. The lower the better...
