Ok I am looking into getting reverse indiglo's for my Galant. I am going with

http://speedhut.com/Default.asp?bhcp=1 ('http://speedhut.com/Default.asp?bhcp=1')

and getting their customizable reverse EL guages(Black with white cobalt blue lettering) Now has anyone purchased from this company?

Now the second thing I want to do is get these

http://www.importcarpartsplus.com/Needles.htm ('http://www.importcarpartsplus.com/Needles.htm')

The end result I am hoping for is this

Now, has anyone here done this modification? I have seen it only once before locally and it came out very nice. It would have been done to my previous car, but it was not compatable.

the only thing i've heard about those needles are horror stories on our cars. pain in the ass to install and way too easy to throw off your calibration. i wanted them for a while, but i don't want that much drama if i fuck up.

Also from that site

The IntelliGlow needle kits will require 2 things to work with your vehicle.

1. Your vehicles gauges must have needles made of a Lexan based material. (Application chart below) We do not provide new needles with the kit so the factory needles must be compatible. If your needles are clear with a white painted back, or another light colored back then the needles are made of a Lexan based material. Take a look at your needles from the side to see if they are clear. Needles that are solid all the way through will not work.
2. Your vehicle must run on a 12 volt system with a negative chassis. (Pretty much all vehicles)

Just because your car is not on the list, does not mean it will not work. It just means your car has not been tested. If your vehicle meets the above requirements the kit will work just fine.

The 2K+ galants I believe use lexan plastic too so they still might work.

they are for the 99-01 and 02+ are more reddish!!! - - - u can take off the orange color w/ some nail polish remover and a q-tip carefully!!! then u change the dash bulbs (190 something) to a blue bulb and you should have close to that same effect!!! i know chromegalant has done it to his 02 g!! send him a pm for more details!!! then all you'll need will be some guages and you can have those custom made from speedhut!!!

good luck and it can be done, homie!!!

the bulbs are 194's and I too have taken the orange off of my needles....just rub a lil nail polish remover over them and it will come off.
