hope its not too late when u see this

the front gap is there for the weather strip. take it off the old hood and put it on your new hood.

the gap on the side is there because the fiberglass skeleton hits the strut tower. if u have the balls u can use a dremel or something similar and make a cut out in the fiberglass skeleton where the strut towers hit the hood.

:edit:
not much to see but its the best pic i got right now
u can see the weatherstrip between the hood and the headlight and the hood sits almost flush against the fenders on the side

Youre going to have gaps with the hood, there is just no way around it.

I dont see any holes for the Strip to go on liekl the old hood does.. so how do i put it.. :?:

Hourglass i seen ur page on ur Hood it helped alot the guy going to do the same thing u did with the latch.. thanks for puting it up https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif ..ya i got the whites wish they were blue at night though instead being white :?

Also do u guys think i will need hoodpins if the hood sits okay like hourglasses and everybody else. i alredy have spracko hoodpins but no 1 will guratne an install on them if they crack my hood and that scares me..You guys think i really need them..Also people with the CF hood whats the recomended speed i should go i alredy been hitin 60 but i try staying near 50

That is what I had to do, after cutting that section the hood fit in nicely. Some gap but not to noticeable but way better than before.

Yeah you are missing your weather strip so once you get that on you will not notice the gap. Your the second member that did not get the holes for the weather strip. Anthony was the first that I know of. You can use double sided tape to get it on.

I myself have had no hood pins on my car but I would still suggest them. I have pushed my car all the way to 110 but I wouln't recommed it with these new generation hoods. These new hoods from VIS are alot lighter then my own VIS hood. Hood pins are a safer bet and you are just going to have to find a good body shop that has installed pins before. Don't trust a shop that has never done this because the chances of them cracking the hood is great. Just keep looking. I had to try months before I found a shop that has done this.
