Whats up guys! I've been away for awhile but I got another interesting question for you. I've got a 99 ES I4 with the oem woodgrain. What I want to do is replace it with a carbon fiber master kit which I saw that looks hot as hell! Now get this!!! I call one of the carbonfiber companies exoticwoodgrain.com and the guy said that since I have the oem wood that I would have to change the woodgrain back to the original in order to get the master kit. I'm like ok cool. Now today I call the dealer and this guy wants $260 just for the parts to switch it back to the original stuff NOT INCLUDING INSTALLATION :x !!!! I almost gaged like my girlfriend when shes given me brains when I heard that number! There got to be a way to turn my oem woodgrain kit back to the original cheaper then $260. Once again im coming to the the best for some help because im sure im not the only one who thought of this. Ok boys gimme some help ova here!

umm next time skip out on the details of gagging.
Anyways you can try painting it like i did. Click on the link in my sig below. I just a paint called Krylon Fusion. Its made just for plastics. Feel free to ask me any questions if you have.

Buy the replacements from the factory. Like the CF trim or the aluminum trim.

for real...hit up delray mitsubishi...search the forums for contact info and hit them up. we get a discount from them. I can't quite remember who here picked up the OEM c/f trim or the price, but it's on here somewhere.

Matrix, I remember you now. You painted in your interior before you did the exterior if I'm not mistaken. I didn't like the blue with the silver exterior but now your car just looks too f'n sweet. 8)

Krylon Fusion paint there is no need to prime anymore just paint, but put on a couple of layers to be safe.

You can buy the OEM CF trim pieces off of a 2003 in the neighborhood of $300 I think.........that kit you're looking into is just an overlay.
