Im installing my rear bumper and was wondering how did ya'll bolt the bumper on. The screws from the stock bumper won't fit in the Erebuni bumper. It's shaped like a 7,and I can't figure out how to get a screw in there. Please any help would be appreciated.THANKS .........DIGGA :blue:

Dude I'm not talking shit and all, but read the posts first. This question was asked and answered a number of times. A couple of the TGC members including myself have told others how to install the rear bumper. So just look in previos posts under "Customising your G" category. Or search the archives. To add to what was said in the other post (linked in this one)...

I haven't really fully installed my back bumper, it still sags a big on the right side because there isn't a second muffler there to hold it up like the left side...

For the two bolts near the rear wheelwells, I actually used the stock holes on the "rear fenders" and then drilled right where the kit would have to line up...

I ended up drilling right through both sides of that corner piece, and just bolted it up with a nice long bolt as opposed to the stock ones, which are mad short and impossible to get fitted in there (at least in my experience).

I talked with Joe (dukeplaya) and he said he also installed a hanger of some sort near the trunk hatch to hold up the bumper in the middle section... this I have yet to work on. RIght now my bumper sits on the muffler tips and holds up fine, it just has a 1/4 - 1/2 inch gap on the right side.

You're rear bumper rests on the exhaust tip?? Yikes.

I have a 5" outlet on my muffler and it doesn't touch at all.

Brandon, try to get that bumper off the muffler asap. It will start to melt the fiberglass...especially after a long trip/racing/etc.
Too much heat.

Well I decided to stop being lazy and work a bit more on my kit (threw the sideskirts on too!).

The front still has it's gaps but I worked on the back a little....

Still a gap on the passenger side rear bumper but it's not too noticeable.

What I did: Take the metal hanger that was previously attached to your old bumper (you'll have to unbolt it from the old bumper), and just basically screw it on to the open holes that are placed on the frame under your trunk.

When you finally put the bumper on, it will rest on that and be held up better... but I don't really think you can avoid the gaps without bondo or epoxy to hold it up. If anyone disagrees or has a suggestion, please let me know!

The erebuni kit is made for all our 7gen g rides but it does need some fabricating to get it sitting tight. my body man bulit a cage for it to be bolted tighter. he said he didn't trust the support of the factory mounts with all the extra wind force. you have to drill the holes and the stock
exhaust will indeed be trouble.

Yeah, I have some pipes welded onto the frame that support my kit so that when I'm doing my 100+ runs, the kit stays firm and won't shudder. My exhaust was custom made as well, so it's all good.

to secure n e of ur kit parts is easy...........front bumper needs brackets to go from the kit to the t-bar, sideskirts need screws where there are gaps then the bodyman can shave it off , and the rear bumper needs taps and brackets.....depending on where the kit needs to be secure
