True just about the same price of a CF hood but remeber supply and demand. If there is not a high demand like a Civic trunk then price is raised to make up for the cost of the trunk. I remeber when the CF hood was $600.00 and GB price was $550.00. Now look at it because there is a demand I can sell it alot cheaper.

The price of the trunk on the Powerhouse site is $459.99. I punched in my zip code and it says that it will be $557.49 shipped. I want it so badly, but my body kit installation is going to cost me more than I was quoted. Depending on how much more, I might not be able to get the trunk.

I can see what I can do. Maybe my supplier gave me the wrong pricing. Another member actually called VIS and they said retail is $550.00 so I don't know why there is a huge difference in price. Let me call later on today.

Well, just because that price on Powerhouse is cheaper, doesn't mean it's right. I mean Powerhouse is a sub-division of VIS. So if VIS says it's more, it probably is.

OK, well back when that red Galant was posted with the CF trunk, I emailed VIS. They finally got back to me today. Here is the email:

"Well bro, I can get them, I was told it would take about 6-8 weeks to get them and I would need to order 5 to 10 at a time. The price would be $450 plus shipping. If we get 10 orders at one time, I can do better but lets see how serious you guys are first. Thanks

So, from what I understand, Chris is saying he can do better than $450 if we get 10 orders at one time. Now that is straight from VIS.


I'm wondering how the fitment actually is though. And what about a key hole to open the trunk. I don't see one in the pic. Plus I would have to give up my GTZ spoiler. I also don't see any holes for mounting the license plate. I suppose that's a good thing since the trunk looks like it takes the long European plates and the holes would be in the wrong spots.

Well now that is a little frustrating. That is my cost price my supplier quated me on. Now at least I have a name from VIS about this and my supplier should be able to get me better pricing.

Chris is actually the owner of VIS and that is why he quoted you wholesale pricing. I can only match what you got there but to be honest it wouldn't even be worth it for me. So I have now no intrest in setting up a GB. So if you guys do set up a GB I would hoop on it. You will not find it cheaper than that.

Hmmm, I certainly don't know anyone at VIS. I guess it was just luck that the owner of VIS happened to see my email. But, even if my kit installation costs low enough to be able to get the trunk lid, there would still have to be atleast 4 other people who want it as well. I'm not sure there are enough people interested in getting a trunk lid and especially having to wait 6-8 weeks to get it.

Yeah, and I'd hate to lose my GTZ spoiler. I'd like to put a CF spoiler on the CF trunk lid, but I don't really like any that I've seen. I don't want any that have pedastals.

I would never put a wing with stands on my drill, the idea of drilling holes threw a regular hood or a CF hood just bothers me. the only solution would be to find a CF lip wing like M3 lip.

there is a kid by me with a white m3 with a cf front lip and the lip spoiler on back in cf. im pretty sure its real so next time i see him ill ask what make it is. its probaly hartge or hamman but ill find out for sure
