Twisted, I admire you for going with the best. Check out this site. MachV sells some of the hardest to find performance rebuild parts I've found so far and their prices are relatively reasonable. http://www.machv.com/arpmainstuds.html ('http://www.machv.com/arpmainstuds.html')

You go dude!!

thanks chip  jason, a head stud is basicaly a 2 sidded screw that attaches your heads to your block. kinda look like this <\\|||||//////> well, you catch my drift...one end goes into your block, and the other end goes into your heads https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif

And why would you want to replace them. The OEM isn't strong enough for your mods or is there another reason?

well, at high rev and hp....sometimes the head could slightly lift off the block if the head studs aren't strong enough. also, stock head studs...kinda....should be replaced after you remove them....only cuz they aren't meant to be taken off and put on over and over again. i'm sure stock would be fine...but...i figure why risk it. i've put this much into the motor, might as well do this, haha.

Now I see why. Yeah I would hate to have the head come flying up because you didn't replace a simple thing as a head stud. Small price to pay for all the engine work you are doing.

yeah exactly....they aren't much more money than stock replacements...so its a pretty good investment.

chip: i went to that site, and it seems like they got a lotta goos stuff, for the 4g63. nuttin for the 6g72 https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif

however, i did find a place that arried them for the 3000GT 6g72...any idea if those would work??

i'm not sure, but i think it wouldn't...3kgt is dohc, correct? Galant is sohc, correct

because of that extra cam, wouldn't the stud palcement be different with different lenght requirement?

I have a 4g64, so i don't know for sure...but that's what I'm thinking

i dunno if the ones from the 3kgt would work but, i do know that machv should have their 3kgt stuff on clearance, or what's left of it cuz i believe they closed down their 3kgt store to make room for the evo store.

head studs are not needed unless you plan on cranking about 600 HP outta your engine.
in fact, theyre generally a major pain in the ass.

dont bother.

Hey Twisted, since you seem to be into ordering parts you don't need, could you please order me an SDS from Rippmods. Thanks, Bro!
