I purchased a 1999 Gallant ES for my daughter yesterday from Mitsubishi of America. I have replaced the battery and I will replace the alternator today. The following is the history of the car and I believe it has multiple electrical issues. Any parallels or suggestion from past history is appreciated. Considering the condition a diagram (I do have the ones from the back of the covers) showing what positions of fusible links and relays are actually filled would be greatly appreciated. https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif

The vehicle was returned from lease running fine. This is directly from the original owner. The detail shop steamed the engine. The vehicle had a dead battery and would not run without being hooked to a jump box. Both fuse panels had multiple fuses and relays pulled and then not replaced, they are now in the center console of the vehicle! I was able to limp home (150 miles) although the new battery discharged and the vehicle was bucking, spitting and barley running for the last twenty miles of the trip. In addition the dash gauges were not functioning (background light only) the fuel and temperature were the only readings. This morning I had to disconnect the battery from the vehicle before attempting a charge because when it is connected there is a short. I will replace the alternator this afternoon.

I am a German based auto dealer and I was very impressed with the quality and ride of my new (used) Gallant. I will not be reviewing/responding to this message to late evening but I look very forward to your comments.
Thank you, Frank
