I just installed the Freedom Design STB from Ptuning.com and am really happy with it. I definately felt the difference. I had very good service with them also.

Arospeed makes one now for the 8G Galant and 3G Eclipse. Click here ('http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2423322225'). But, please don't bid on the Arospeed one because I am the high bidder and I'm hoping to get it for $40. There is also one called the Vibrant Type-V for the 3G Eclipse. Click here ('http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2423096374&category=33591').

It's not a strutbar perse but I have seen braces that they manufacture so you can temporarily bolt a brace from your engine to the chasis. They only do this in drag racing to stop the engine from torquing and also reduce wheel hop. This is definitely that last thing you should do if you b/c there are lots of other long term solutions to this and this is definitely an extreme case.

I know the Arospeed coilovers for the 8G are real crap, but I have heard good things about their wheels and a few other things. The strut bar can't be all too different from the Freedom Design one. The only thing I'm wondering is whether the Arospeed bar is hollow or solid? I believe the Freedom Design one is solid. I would have had the Freedom Design one by now, but I don't want the red ends, so I just figured I'd wait 'til another one came out since the stock Eclipse Spyder strut bar I have works just fine.

why not just spray pint the end of the freedom design if ya want a solid one for sure?? or will the paint not last long..?

Yeah, you guys are right. I could just paint the ends, but I don't want to worry about the paint coming off. Plus, since I already have the Eclipse Spyder bar, I couldn't justify paying $80+ for a new one. I figured I'd just wait for something else to come out and if I found it cheap enough, I would get it. Also, I can be different than everyone else that has the Freedom Design bar. I'm all about being different, that's why I have a Galant.

danj, what color did u want it? i mean you're getting your kit painted. so if you wanted it beige im guessing its gonna be an extra what 20 dollars or so to use whatever leftover paint the body shop has to paint your ends. that could be an option too.

WTF! Some loser drove the ebay auction up past $50. I could have got the bar for $50 with the "Buy It Now" option. Now I have to wait for another auction or maybe I'll email the seller.

I don't want to paint the ends of the Freedom Design bar beige. I have a can of beige paint already if I did want to. Hell, maybe I'll just cut those firewall brackets off the Eclipse Spyder bar and paint it beige. Shit! See now you guys got me all thinking hard and stuff. Now my head hurts. Thanks alot.
