When i see some racing videos, sometimes i see excess nitrous shooting out of either the hood, or the undercarage of the car. What causes this?

Could be a purge kit.....it's a kit that cleans the lines so that only straight nitrous is being pushed into your engine.....

It is a purge, excess Nitrous doesn't come out of any where, it gets sprayed into the engine and gets burned up, you won't see any or it. Trust me, if you do, then there is a hole in your Nitrous line and if you can see it then you have MAJOR hole in your line and you also may have installed it wrong

My vote goes with purge kit; altho I heard that it clears the lines so you get a fresh cold shot of nitrous from the tanks, instead of the warmer stuff that's been sitting in the lines. [rather than being a method of 'cleaning' the lines]

Whether this is true I cant say, but it sounds sensible enough to me

Yeah it's both....it cleans the line of air and dead nitrous....
