ok. here we go. I wanted to disconnect my battery in my 99 galant so it would perhaps reset my cd changer which was saying error. I disconnected my battery, went to reconnect it and my stupid ass security system which i never use went off when i touched positive. There was a little spark, but nothing huge. I then proceded to disconnect the siren, cause i never use it , so i could connect the battery without the noise. I connected the battery and now have two more problems. 1) i can't shutoff the security system which is now just flashing lights. every time i open the doors it goes off . 2) my car won't start. turn the key and nothing. my car was working fine before, battery was fine, starter was fine. what the hell could have happened?

for future reference, hook up positive first then negative.

but yea, did you try to use your key fob to turn off the security system? was the car armed when you disconnected the battery?
