I know this has been talked about before...but.

I really want to do my trim in silver.....with some clear coat so it's kind of glossy.....don't want it to look cheap...my stock interior is immaculate...so I don't want to lose the "Classy-ness" of my cars' interior...

1) is painting the interior...reversible?
2) anyone have pics of silver trim interior?
3) was anyone else Extremely hesitant and scared to try this.....like I am....

Thanks

Its very easy there is nothing to be scared of. You can use a paint called krylon fusion. It is made especially for plastics. You dont need to sand it nor prime it just make sure its clean. i did it to my car click the link in my sig to see it.

Matrix, your car also looks very clean, and still keeps the "classy-ness". What is everyone's opinion on a white car with the silver trim interior? To each his own...but I'm just curious because the blue exterior with blue interior trim, looks amazing with everything opened up like the doors and the trunk, I love pictures of cars opened up......

painting the interior can be really scary to do. I know that when I first started, I thought what have I gotten myself in to? But now it's no problem. Hell yesterday I had my car stripped down to nothing but the top half of the dash. It's not that bad, and if you are only doing the trim, then there is nothing to worry about.

To make it reversable, go to a junk yard buy the parts, paint them and put your stock ones in a box.

Ok, this is from Krylon:

The Krylon Fusion For Plastic is offered in the following colors:

#2320 Gloss White
#2321 Gloss Black
#2322 Dover White
#2323 River Rock
#2324 Hunter Green
#2325 Burgundy
#2326 Navy
#2327 Spring Grass
#2328 Red Pepper
#2329 Patriotic Blue
#2330 Sunbeam
#2331 Fairytail Pink
#2332 Sun Dried Tomato
#2333 Blue Hyacinth
#2334 Buttercream
#2335 Honeydew

So out of curiosity...should I wait until Fusion is made in a silvery metallic? or what kind of paint/primer/clear coat did you use, to do the silver interior?
