I am looking for a new front grill for my 99 Galant. I saw a really nice JDM one on Ebay and was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a better looking grill that is not chrome. The only question is if I find one of these JDM grills or another aftermarket grill, does it work with the factory front bumper. Thanks fellas.

the JDM grill will not fit a USDM spec galant unless you have JDM headlights. you can customize your grill to look like a jdm grill do a search it has been talked about very frequently.

Can I get the JDM headlights as well? If so, where can I find these headlights as well as the front grill. If I can find both the headlights and the front grill, can they still be used with the factory front grill? Thanks

JDM headligths are longer and wider than US and if you get JDM headlights you'll have to get the grill b/c US grills are to long. Then you'll have to rewire your old harness b/c the JDM has two bulbs instead of one.

For the Grill, you can find one at erebuni's website. And as for the headlights, you can pm a member called triggermauve, he sells them for about 450-500 if im not mistaken. Which is a good price for jdm headlights.

Don't forget to mention that to fit the JDM headlights, you have to do alot of cutting to the radiator supports and whatnot. The JDM grill itself needs to be trimmed in the back as well to be able to fit. Then you need a way to mount everything. I believe you can use one or two mounting points that the stock headlights used, but not all of them. Do a search for JDM headlights and use the name Reelax. He has gone over what needs to be done to fit everything time and time again.

I have found a website that sells the JDM headlights for 350.00. Not too sure about the grill yet. Waiting to hear back.

hey, i took my grill and cut out all the little slits in the middle. I then sanded it and got it painted black, match my car. I got black mesh and fitted it behind it so now all you see is a big black space in there. When you're far enough away you can't really see the big middle bar on the center grille and it looks like the big hole that the Skyline has on its front end. Easy to do and cost me like 30 bucks for the guy to paint it to match my car. Ask for 6 coats paint and 6-8 coats clear. I did the sanding part and primed it so he charged me less.
