I went to my dealer's parts department to see how much it would cost to swap my interior trim with the 2002/2003 Galant's carbon fiber trim or titanium trim (I'm still undecided). I only need 6 pieces. The center console, the shifter console, and the 4 door pieces. The guy there said the center console and shifter console would fit without a problem but he wasn't sure about the door pieces because he thinks the window and door lock controls are set up differently. Can anyone confirm this?

Also, does anyone have any pictures of an 8G (preferably with a gray interior) with Mitsubishi's titanium trim and/or where I can get it cheaper than the dealer prices?

Thanks!

the 02/03 pieces will fit the older 8g's. uhm for the door panels you do have to remove the door panels to install. reelax has a set in his 99

How much is the dealer charging you for those peices?

Thanks for the quick response!

Oh, and while installing my door speakers I saw how the door trim is installed. It doesn't look too difficult. It just requires a lot of patience because there's so many screws in there (more than are needed).

The dealer is charging me an arm, a leg, and a spinal cord. I might be a couple of dollars off, but from what I remember...

For the titanium trim: $60 for the center console, $55 for the shifter console, and $50 EACH for the door trim.

And if you thought that was bad
For the carbon fiber trim: $95 for the center console, $89 for the shifter console, and I didn't bother asking for the door trim

Oh, and from what I've heard, it's not real carbon fiber. It's carbon twist.. whatever the fuck that is.

I talked to gary at don herring and he gave me a quote of 380 for cf twist. I thought it looked almost as bad as the wood trim and decided to go for the titanium trim instead. I have not installed it yet. With the type of schedule i have, it will probably be one door at a time https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif otherwise I can find mazarin and other chicago folks and get a helping hand or buy them some beers to help with it.

Hey, can you post pics of the trim (off or on your car). I haven't even seen it yet, but from the name, it seems like it's what I'm looking for. Thanks.

No Donherring isn't the same as Delray Mitsubishi. Delray Mitsubishi is cool as hell. They even told me they could get altezza's for our car's but I didn't really believe them. But Delray Mitsu does give something like 35% discount.
