Suggestions...

Welp tommorow the car goes to the dealership to get a timing belt and a tranny flush..along with a "free" multi-point inspection.

What sort of "problems" should i expect to hear from the typical dealership for a 61k 00 Galant? Im sure they would love to sell me plenty more then im asking for. Im having the rest of the 60K maint. stuff done by other sources...so any idea what sort of surprises i should get from this inspection?

You got that right! Gillman North is too incompetent to fix anything within the Mitsu line. Of coure the Southwest dealership helped me countless of times...

Spent $537 for a Timing Belt, Trans Flush, and a complete inspection.
Only thing they found wrong with it was a leaky PCV Valve.


I feel better now...except for the lighter wallet.

they would probably want to flush your radiator, I was hearing that dealers say you should do it every 30,000 miles. Make sure your plugs are new and your wires are all good.

Im getting the Radiator flushed and a tune up this weekend through another mechanic who dosnt charge out the ass for it.


Update.....I got the car back last night and it has developed a ticking sound while at a low idle. I am not pleased and am about to call the dealer again about it. This tick wasnt there before i took it in.
