What's the big deal with the drilled/slotted rotors?

Drilled or slotted rotors are superior to solid rotors becuase they allow the gas and heat to leave the brake pad easier, there by increasing your braking under harsh conditions. Most people with 8Gs run slotted rotors because the factory rotors warp very fast and it is cheaper usually to just upgrade to slotted or drilled rotors.
I used Powerslot rotors on mine...

Also, the slots on a rotor help de-glaze the pads and limit brake fading.
