this seems like a stupid question but i am trying to take the bulbs out of my headlights (my car is a 2000 galant)and it wont come out. I have tried everything but cant seem to do it, and the directions in the owners manual do not help. Can you please give me some advice on what to do.

you have to squeeze it from the sides...and it should come off...

*puts on blindfold*

go into the car turn off your headlights, and open the hood.

go to the back of the bulb. u'll see the socket for the bulb. grasp it by the sides and pull out. it might take some coaxing to get out.

then remove the rubber boot.

then you'll see the bulb is held in by a retaining clip. take your index and you middle finger and put it on the clip. on one the left and one on the right side of the bub. push inward on the fingers. only one side should be able to push inward. so with that side, push inward and down. the clip should dis engage and the clip should swing out of the way.

remove bulb and replace.

thats for the main bulb.

for the turn signal bulb, just grab the socket and twist, it should disengage and come out. then just pull the bulb out of the socket
