Cost of M/T Install?

I was wondering what would I be looking to pay to get a mechanic to swith out the transmission? The way I drive my car, the tranny isn't bound to last long. It already has 53k miles on it.

So I was thinking, around the time that the tran breaks. Maybe I could switch it with a 3G 5spd.

I could attempt it myself but seeing as this is rather a very expensive toy, I wouldn't want anything to go wrong.
