SHIFT KNOB HELP ASAP

can i cut down the plastic on the shift knob i got a short silve/carbon shft knob and that thing is high can i cut it donw and will it fit and work please need help asap

yea i put on a carbon fiber shift knob myself. I just cut off the angled part, and played with the height of the new shifter until it worked like the stock one. The only problem i have with my is sometimes it slides down a little bit and the keys get stuck in the ignition, but i just slide it up a bit till it releases. before u cut. make sure u got the ones that were made for mitsu. the mounting screws should be in the front not the side. then if it is the one that works, i suggest cutting down the plastic triangle slowly. the last thing u want to do is cut down too far and get the knob all loose and stuff
