Would a 215/40 size tire be much harsher of a ride than 215/45?
Both sizes would work as there is only .25" difference in diameter.
But I've read a few people used the 45 series because they didn't want the harshness of a lower profile tire.
Is there really that much of a difference?
Also, FYI, I've just installed Eibach Pro springs and KYB AGX struts, so the please consider that with the ride quality. I've been keeping the struts set at "1" all around, to keep the ride softest (untill I need a stiffer ride)
Please reply ASAP, as I will probably be ordering today!
Thanks!

someone did ur calculations wrong....here is some info on ur tires
215/40/17
Sidewall: 3.4 in
Radius: 11.9 in
Diameter: 23.8 in
Circumference: 74.7 in
Revs/Mi:848
215/45/17
Sidewall: 3.8 in
Radius: 12.3 in
Diameter: 24.6 in
Circumference: 77.3
Revs/Mi: 819
so yea there is a difference like a .4 inch difference in the sidewall. thats a .8 difference in height. about an inch. a big difference. a .8 more protection from potsholes and stuff...

I guess I plugged in the wrong #'s
Yea, I guess .8 of an inch is quite a bit when you think of it.
So it will be:
Yokohama AVS ES100 215/45-17
Thanks

GAHHH
the AVS ES100 is a turd....
they're calling it the repalcement for the A520.... but it'll Suck ass
unless you like all-season performance...
if you can do it.... get the A520's
I know tirerack, and DTD had a limited Supply...
I'd reccomend Them over anything out there.

g96nt, have you personnaly tried the ES100's?
jsut wondering, as they are newer.
I've heard good things about them, and nothing bad.
It was a choice between them and the Parada Spec2's, they are about the same price.
What would you choose?

in conversation With "doug" from DTD.. he told me That they are to Replace the A520.. and that they Suck
of course.. we're comparing them to A520's
sooooo pick as you will
I'm sort of an "edge of death" driver...
if I had Any Type of all Season.. or less than A520/spurea ecsta 716 or whatever they are.. I'd probably kill myself, or Someon else =0]

So. you recommend the Kumho Ecsta 712's?
Have you heard good things about them?

the 712's, and A520's Are high-performance tires...
when you get *REALLY* high performance tires.. you give up some tread-life....
if you want sporty Tires that last forever... get the AVS es100
if you want a Tire That Will barely spin.. with 300Hp applied..... get eth A520's or teh ecsta 712's
check out the tirerack comparison of the A520/ES100
