i've been working on it for a few months starting with a clay model, and since i have a day job, it's taken longer than i expected. but here it is in all its fiberglass glory https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif . didn't want to start a wishy-washy gb thing, so i waited until the product was in my hands. i'd appreciate your feedback.

i have stock rims and a progress drop. i wanted to go for the oem-look as you guys can see. the lip spoiler adds about 2 1/4 inches on the sides. looks even better w/ the jdm style grille, but my mesh isn't finished. rest of the kit coming within a month or two. i'll post new pics in a few days.

if anyone is interested in buying one from me, i will start a gb.
GB link: http://www.clubtgc.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=18327 ('http://www.clubtgc.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=18327')

my goal is to eventually produce a full oem-style polyurethane kit, but that will way too much loot. looking for ways tho.

thanks!

See now thats what im talking about, something simple. Im lovin it so far, whenever you get it all done and you decide on mass producing it, let me know.. I'll be down..

Well that's a relief, I thought it was just me. I looked at a pic of my car then looked at this and wondered what was different...

$275 for that little add on is too much. some people didnt even know the difference so why bother spending that money when you can order front body kit bumper for about the similar price. am i the only one thinking this way? or someone else think so too?

believe me i understand where you're coming from. I know it'll be hard to have you see things from the other side, but i'll try. every consumer has a different view of how much something should cost, and i'm here to listen and be as reasonable and flexible as possible. in fact, more feedback regarding price would be good.

However, i want you to try and consider everything that goes into the creation, production, and support for something like this. i didn't ask for anyone's money upfront and i paid for all the time and expenses. I'm not Wings West selling units in the thousands. All i can offer everyone right now is a great product and great service. if there's enough demand for this now and if i could ever produce polyurethane versions of the full 4pc kit, the people who help me get to that point will all get free kits believe that. this is my contribution to the family...

...and if you're into combat kits, this is probably not for you. https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif

and thank you everyone for the compliments. https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif

sj40 i like the kit its what i have been look for something simple but effective. i dont think the price is to high but I am going to wait till you have the full kit. the only other thing i wanted to ask . on the galant the front bumper has the outline in the bottom. Is the finished product going to go all the way up to the point so it does not look like there are two outlines? if i get this kit i will not be molding it on so just trying to make sure it looks as clean as possible

You know, he's probably a one-man-shop, I think it's perfectly reasonable considering all the effort, the labor, the know-how and material...and these are hand made and not mass produced.

If you're gonna be bitching about the price and be a cheap ass-wipe about it, why bother souping up your car.

Looking good. Great job, good efort. I'll keep following the progress of the your project. I may go that route since I want to keep the OEM look.

$275 for something like that is VERY REASONABLE... You're talking about a hand made custom lip that's not made in quantity. If you asked a shop to make you a custom lip that's a direct fit, I'm sure you'd pay 2, 3, 4 times that much. Looks like you did a really nice job by the way.

Its About Time Something Like That Came Along. I Been Searchin For Something Simple Like That To Put On My Car To Give It A Lil Extra. I Would Go W/ A Full Huge BodyKit On My Car But In Staten Island It Would Be Pointless. There Are HUGE SpeedBumps Everywhere. It Would Get Destroyed.Good Job With That.

I agree
my kit would be destroyed out here in SI
the car is too low for a kit, and without drop the car is too high

man having internet problems... i think it's global or something. anyways, i'm using on average 6 layers of fg for fabrication and it comes out to be about 1/8" in thickness. the "structural points" have an extra layer or two. and i just got my friend's dig cam so i'll have to take the pics tomorrow. hang in there... https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif

damn sorry i missed this... i actually have the option to have it go all the way in to the ridge of the outlines (the deepest line), but honestly i didn't think the line flowed very well. if you look at your bumper where the ridge leads into the fog light section, it rises up about 1/4". currently it's one solid line that follows the second line after the deepest ridge. i hope that makes sense. :?:
