Well I finished my clear corner mod and while I was doing it I saw this little dome shaped thing thats in front of my main headlight bulb in the housing held in by one screw. If I smash this thing and take it out would my headlights get too bright or what? Should I leave it alone or smash it?

i do believe you are talking about the thing that makes your headlights different from your highbeams. It'd be too bright and illegal without that thing.

Don't take it out. If you do, the light from the bulb would go out in all directions from the headlights, from straight into the ground to way up into the sky. Not only would you blind people, but passing airplanes too  No seriously, what that does is stop light from going straight out. As a result the only light that gets out is from the reflector behind the bulb, which only shoots out light in a much tighter arc. It's physics, the way a concave mirror works...

Hope that wasn't too confusing...

I posted right above this reply
there is a tutorial you have to follow and remove the amber lense from the headlights
it should take at the most an hour total to do both of the headlights and will cost you nothing
