View Full Version : Bottom Headlights That Never Turn On???

Yesterday I was sitting in front of my g-ride, and admiring its beauty as usual, when all of a sudden I relized that I never seen the bottom set of circular headlights turn on.

I rushed to my car and threw the high beams, and still the bottom lights didn't turn on. My question is are those real lights?

bro those are the fog lights.... when the low beams are on.... look down and towards the door and you will see a button and a dimmer push the buttom and there you go....

unless your highbeams are on. your fog lights shouldn't be on with your highs on. turn your highs off and try again. You'll notice your fogs turn off when you turn your highs on and come back on when you turn your highs off. You'll also notice that you have to turn your fogs on each time you turn on the car as opposed to the low beams which you can leave on.

just out of random, I was wondering if you were driving down the highway in cruise, and you put your car in neutral, would the car redline? Just wondering, never done it.

Joke about it all you want...we bought our Sienna in August of 1998, and just last week we discovered that it had a rear windshield spray nozzle. It's so ridiculously stupid it's almost funny to bystanders.

I was once driving on the interstate with the cruise control on and bumped the shifter accidently trying to change the radio. The cruise control will cut out when accidently shifted into neutral, and as far as I can tell, no harm done.

Alright people, laugh it up. It was an honest mistake. I dont have the owners manual, and I have never had the option for fog lights in ANY of my previous cars. I asked several people about that button a while back no one knew what it was.

Yeah and you know what is funny. Some Galants actually came with a little sticker on the gas door that said "Push Here to Open". It think this was a cruel joke with some dealerships to remove it.

I had that problem with my dad's diamante, but I found the gas release button under by where the CDs are to the left of the seat. So I wasnt completely dumb.

I stopped for gas in Pendleton, OR a couple of years ago on my way to Seattle. Its illegal in Oregon to fill your own gas tank! Anyways, the gas dude at the Chevron was waiting for me to pull the lever for the fuel door. Five minutes later he comes up to my window and asks me to open the fuel door. https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif

On another note, I was in Portland last weekend and the gas dude put regular instead of premium. I requested premium, the fuel door states premium, and this Einstein put regular. Glad I don't live in Oregon ... its bad enough to drive through when visiting family.

Um, I do know how to remove the headlight bulb. My original question was how do I go about turning it on. This was after all. my first car w/fog lights. And I had no drivers manual.

But the fact that you didnt know Evo8s were TWIN turbo, and AWD..........
