all high end jdm 7g galants such as the vr4 (V6 6A12 turbo = 240hp) and the vx-r (V6 6A12 Mivec Md = 200hp) have a/c climate control.

the a/c climate control has a small screen so that you could monitor (it displays) air temp, fan/ blower speed, air flow direction, outside temp readings etc.

the a/c adjusts the fans accordingly (depends on the temp readings) if its in auto mode. in manual mode, works like a regular a/c but yeah it looks hi-tech.

you need the servos and censors for the climate control to work properly.

It still has the 2.4 SOHC, but it was marketed as the "Top End" model 7g. I learned this from doing research on dash kits for the 7g of all things. There are members here with LS's, I'm sure one of them can chime in here.
I don't think the 8g ever came with any digital type CC, they were all the same except for basic stuff like leather or fabric. As far as I know anywayz..

hmm.... i think i saw one of those but it was for an 8g i think. it has gps as well i believe. i'll try to get pics of it.

yeah! imo, its lame if you only get the display but can't make all the buttons 100% functional.

Yea my 98 LS has it and i love it.. my galant is the only one i have ever seen that has had that controler i took my brother inlaw around to look at galants becouse he wanted one i bet we looked at hundereds of them and i never saw another one besides mine that had the auto climet

ill have to get a card reader for my Dig cam and then I could post pics of what it looks like when its running... thats one of the reason i bought my galant my moms cadilac has a simmular one but she never uses the auto mode..
