Am I the only one who thinks this or do others in our little community agree that the stock exhaust note is actually pretty sweet for the V6? I didn't really pay attention to it until today...it sounds really nice. Like a muted growl almost, then it turns to a howl at the upper rpms. Maybe I'm just paranoid? Kinda reminds me of a 3 series BMW, or a C32 AMG without the supercharger whine (based purely on my limited experience at the C-spot event), or maybe even approaching a Boxster without the intake resonance. Or am I just crazy...

Damn Peter, so now you're back to stock??? What happened to your Remus exhaust?? And then what happened to the Magnaflow you replaced the Remus with?? That makes at least four exhausts/mufflers you've had on your car. (stock, remus, magnaflow, stock) Why would you go back to stock when the Magnaflow gave you 13WHP and 20 Ft/lbs of torque??? What happened to the other mufflers?? I never saw them in the for sale forum...

I've been through more mufflers than I can count...and almost every time I change the old one goes to the trash because the sale price can't offset the shipping (which is why I used to only sell to local members). I think I went through stock, Race Design, Magnaflow, Remus, Magnaflow, Dynomax, and then back to stock before I called it quits. At least, that's all I can remember. You guys test headers, I test mufflers https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif

At least this BS is actually the truth. I went with Race Design for a month because that's what Carboy had on hand the first time I was pressured into getting a new muffler by my brother. Later I sold the Race Design to WarrenG (a former member) and switched to Magnaflow for about 2 weeks because of all the hype on Club 3G, before I swapped it with the Galant specific Remus axle-back (which is why I know for certain it does not fit the USDM Galant) for a discount off of the Remus. The Remus was way too restrictive as TGC Texas saw for themselves at the TGC meet, so I swapped it out again for a new Magnaflow, this time a universal muffler so I could customize the tip to my own liking. 2 months later I caught onto Dynomax and thought I'd give them a shot, and in fact when you look at my Yahoo album the 4 inch tip muffler is from the Dynomax. Finally after enduring all of the warranty hassles and the problems with the car, you'll recall I swapped everything out of my car for stock parts again.
