Transmission/gearbox oil levels

Please help i have a 1990 Gti 2.0 AWD AWS, and i need to check the oil level in my transmission/gearbox, can anybody tell me where to look and also how to fill it. Oil was lost due to changing driveshatf gaiters.

if its a manual, you need to remove the filler plug located on the front of the transaxle and fill until the fluid is at the level of the hole.
if its an auto, you check it with the car fully warmed, running, in NUETRAL.
