TB port and polish

I've got an extra TB and plan on getting it ported and polished soon. I know the standard port is 5mm over stock, but what are the advantages/disadvantages of going slightly bigger. Would I need an AFC if I went bigger than 5mm?

You pretty much get beter results out of most mods if you have an afc to fine tune. I dont really know if you will NEED it though.

I've also got headers and a high flow cat coming plus I plan on getting the intake manny P&P as well, that's why I was asking.
