Hi, I'm new at these forums and I think this is great!!! I'm not a native speaker so please let me know if you have any problems trying to understand me

Well, I'm writing because I think my Galant's front lights are not well leveled. I mean, I'd like the lights to illuminate further, because they illuminate too near to the car. It's a 2002 SW Galant.

Thanx, bye!!! https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif

Welcome to the board! First, you should make sure that your headlights aren't aimed too far down. Also, your best bet is to invest in a set of nokya headlight bulbs. I had a set on my car and they lit up much more than the stock bulbs. I'm sure many members here would have some recommendations as for what brand to get.

Hi! and thanx for your help https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif

Well, I tried to aim the front lights up as much as I could, moving that kind of "bolts" that are just behind the headlights, when you open the... well, that "door" you open to see the engine  (I almost lost my fingers trying to move those bolts!)

But the problem is that if I aim the headlights up as much as I can, the "electronic" system used to aim the headlights (the one inside the car) becomes useless, and the lights still don't illuminate as far as I want!(although they are aimed up to the top)

So please help me, you could try to tell me what to do with the lights or if it's wrong to aim the headlights the way I'm doing it.

Thanks, bye!!!

In that case, it's probably just the bulbs. I would get a brighter set of bulbs. Trust me, you'll notice the difference.

Thanks! Well, I'll buy the new set of bulbs...

But... am I doing things well? I mean... is it correct to aim the headlights the way I'm doing it?

Is there some kind of "manual" so I can see what each bolt does to the headlighs?

Sorry for so many cuestions, but I'm very anxious to solve this problem...

Thanx a lot!!! https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif

I'm not sure of the best way to adjust the headlights but it sounds like you're doing it the right way.

Go to page 2 of the General posts for the 8G. Towards the bottom of the page is two post on how to aim the headlights. Click on the one that says moved befor it.

One screw is for vertical aim and the other is for horizontal aim. You dont want to aim them to high because it will look like your high beams (brights) are on to the on comeing traffic. Get them aiming right and then see if that helps.

park your car on level gorund 25 feet away from a wall or garage door, the beams should be about 3 feet off the ground
